I betcha that line won't stay intact by the end of the night...I think you almost have to for the sake of balance...

hey, random thought, if Brandon Dubinsky goes 48 games without a goal for Columbus, do they buy him out?

Either that, or you just concede that in the short term you aren't going to be balanced, and just play Gaborik-Richards-Nash a ton, get whatever production you can out of them, hope against hope for some secondary scoring, and play good defense.

They have a lot of cap space, an if Howson is still in charge, I really doubt it as he would then be forced to concede that he traded Rick Nash for Anisimov, Erixon, and a 1st.

Doubt it, without his contract on the books they would have over 30 million in cap space.

I would take him back right now at 1/2 his cap hit.

when the heck did Dubi completely lose the ability to score goals.

It's like somebody put an evil spell on him

He signed a big contract. He got off to a slow start. He started gripping the stick a little to tight. He lost confidence. And now he's Petr Prucha.

And then we pick him up cheap to play the third or fourth line. I like that.
